AIIM First Canadian Chapter is excited to welcome data privacy and information management specialist, Else Khoury to talk about changes in privacy legislation at a local and global level.

Technological advancements and globalization have made it easy for private and public organizations to collect and store a vast amount of information about people. As a result, privacy laws are changing rapidly and companies must adapt practices to comply. This presentation will explore changes in the world of privacy legislation and how they impact businesses at a local and global level. Changes to the Personal Health Information Protection Act (PHIPA) in Ontario and the introduction of the weighty General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) in Europe affect organizations on many levels.
