I'm sorry if this topic has been discussed before. However, I'd appreciate 
if someone can direct me for an answer to this.
I've been referring to websites wrt FM200 and found nothing that says it 
is not safe for people. 

However, I learnt that there are companies not accepting this system (as 
advised by their HSE people) said that FM200 is an HFC 
(hydroflourocarbon), where HF (hydrogenflouride) is a toxic decomposition 
gas. The amount of HF produced depends on the speed of fire extinguishment 
and the % concentration of the FM200 gas. Most fire protection mediums say 
they are safe and indeed they usually are, if designed and installed in a 
manner to ensure personnel safety.

They also said that Hydrogen chloride is produced as a by-product and 
although HCl (hydrogen chloride) would not have an adverse effect on 
electronic components it may well attack documents and archives. Is this 
true?
