Its Friday, so here's my "off the beaten track" question.
A new World Seed Bank just opened in Norway near the North Pole. It
has a capacity to hold about 1.2 million different agricultural-crop
seed packets. New seeds will be coming in over the next few years
and stored seeds will be distribute to researchers, etc. The
underground facility was constructed into the side of a mountain, I
think it was a granite mountain, I'm pretty sure it wasn't iron.
Anyone know what type of database they are using to keep track of the
inventory? Just curious.
