SENIOR RECORDS MANAGEMENT CONSULTANT


?


I
am looking for a senior records management consultant who has
experience in corporate records management and the development of
enterprise-wide records management strategy, retention and disposition
policies and schedules, operation of a corporate records management
program for a corporation or legal department, and compliance
requirements based on? legislative/regulatory obligations and
developing best practices related to: HIPPA, Sarbanes-Oxley, Sedona
Principals, etc. Program management and retention schedule experience
ideally include e-mail and electronic records management.


In
this role, you will be conducting reviews of corporate legal and
corporate-wide records management programs; prepare substantive
summaries of findings and recommendations; preparing records management
policies, and records retention and disposition schedules based on
national and international records management standards; developing
operational procedures relating to active and inactive records
management, including circulation control, processing records for
incoming or departing attorneys, record location audits, release of
records to outside parties, and disposition of records where retention
requirements have expired; training programs; managing records program
roll-outs; maintaining knowledge of applicable federal and state laws,
regulatory requirements, ABA opinions, national and international
standards on records management requirements; supervising and reviewing
work of legal research contractors; providing guidance on space
planning requirements for records management, including Record Centers
and end-user workspaces.


To
qualify you MUST have a minimum of 5 to 10 years of records management
experience in a corporate or legal environment; proven familiarity with
mainstream email archive, document management, and records management
applications and ECM software.


Bachelors or Masters in records management, library science, information management IS REQUIRED.


ARMA membership ideal.? CRM is desired.
