Subject: Areas of responsibility of the Records Manger
Hello List:
I have been asked to provide a detailed list of which areas fall under the area of responsibility for the records manager. For example, facilities manages the record file rooms. This has caused major problems with all records maintained in the fileroom and sent off-site.
I need to present something to upper management that indicates that filerooms and files in general fall under the responsibility of the records Manager. (this is a political battle I am fighting with facilities)
Does anyone have any documentation that confirms who is responsible for what related to records management.
Thanks, and I look forward to the interesting perspectives shared here.
