Reports to the Library Director as primary administrator for the
University Archives. The position requires vision and leadership in
capturing and disseminating university history in the digital age
through traditional and innovative collecting strategies; creating and
implementing viable records management systems; and increasing
accessibility to collection information and content using electronic
research tools. The candidate will work directly with individual
departments to acquire official university records as well as materials
from non-official sources. Working independently, as well as
collaboratively with other archivists, the University Archivist will
possess a willingness to further the strategic goals of the library.

ALA-accredited Master’s degree in Library Information Science (MLIS),
Master’s degree in History (MA), or an advanced degree in a relevant
disciplinary field; a minimum of 2-3 years professional experience in an
archive or special collections repository; and strong records management
experience, including the management of digital records, required.
