The Construction Specifications Institute has, what I'm told, is the
"standard" for construction filing systems, called MasterFormat and
UniFormat. Their website is www.csinet.org. I ordered it and the
UniFormat was the one that I thought we could use, however, it is very
detailed and turned out to be much more than we needed. I created a much
simpler file plan based on the ideas of UniFormat. I'll post that on the
Yahoo Group.

I am looking for an example of a File/Document filing system for
construction records. Would anyone mind sharing what you may have or
point me in the right direction?

Thanks very much for your time and trouble!!

Vladimir"

Hi Everyone,

Have any of you, with construction industry records, incorporated the
CSI (Construction Specifications Institute) structure into your file
plan?  I would appreciate seeing some examples or hearing about other
methods.  The idea is to integrate this into an intuitive structure
for Documentum.

I found a reference in the archive from 2004 about a document uploaded
to the yahoo group, but it appears to no longer be there.

Thank you,

-Wendy Glickman, CRM
