Earlier this year Digital Realty Trust built its first major data center in Singapore<http://www.datacenterknowledge.com/archives/2010/11/18/digital-realty-buys-singapore-data-center/>, not far from the location of the new Google facility, and has since announced expansions in Sydney<http://www.datacenterknowledge.com/archives/2011/07/25/digital-realty-enters-australian-market/>and Melbourne<http://www.datacenterknowledge.com/archives/2011/09/06/digital-realty-ready-to-build-in-melbourne/>. Meanwhile, co-location market leader Equinix has expanded in Tokyo<http://www.datacenterknowledge.com/archives/2010/09/27/equinix-plans-further-expansion-in-tokyo/>, Singapore and Sydney. Yahoo is also building a major data center in Singapore. And *NOW* you say to yourself "Ummm waitaminute, do *WE* have data that is stored with any of these providers or is co-located through Equinix and are my privacy, SARBOX, HIPAA, GLBA, SEC or other requirements at risk by data being stored outside of the continental US??"
