Not necessarily. My scanner support company fixes Kodaks, Fujitsu's, and other
models, so they are independent from Kodak. I will still get regular support
regardless of what Kodak does. They also stock supplies (which are shipped from
overseas). While it might mean not being able to call a Kodak help desk, I
doubt that support for the equipment will disappear overnight.
I also would not be surprised if they re-organize and come out of bankruptcy or
perhaps get acquired. It is not as if their product line is small potatoes.
