Bradley Shear needs to read (re-read) the bill. It does not "protect secondary schools from social media monitoring lawsuits while also protecting the personal digital privacy rights of students." The bill, if enacted, may be known and cited as the "Higher Education Privacy Act." It will apply to "academic institutions, which "means a public or nonpublic institution of higher education or institution of postsecondary education."
