Enterprises are evaluating the Cloud for data storage. But not all Clouds are the same.
For many RIM professionals, the idea of moving storage to the cloud can feel like a
daunting task. Denise will lead a “Cloud 101” discussion providing attendees:
- A non-technical explanation of Cloud technology.
- A description of benefits and drawbacks to the different Cloud types and service
offerings.
- “Need to Know” Information for evaluating the Cloud for records storage
- Issues that need to be addressed before records are stored in the Cloud like security,
privacy, compliance, and legal considerations
About the Speaker:
Denise Simons is the principal consultant and founder of Haystack Associates Inc., an
information management / compliance consulting firm. She works with large and small
enterprises throughout the US to providing strategic guidance and help develop policies
and programs for global compliance, retention, security, IT risk assessment, and
information governance. She is a founding member and current President for the Seattle
Chapter of the Cloud Security Alliance (CSA), a professional organization dedicated to
developing standards and assessments to evaluate information security issues with cloud
technologies and services.
