L’Association des archivistes du Québec (AAQ) et l’Association of Canadian
Archivists (ACA) souhaitent exprimer leur soutien à leurs membres et leur
solidarité avec eux ainsi qu’avec leurs collègues de la Society of American
Archivists qui ont pu avoir été affectés professionnellement ou
personnellement par le Décrêt présidentiel interdisant temporairement
l’entrée aux États-Unis en provenance de sept pays à majorité musulmane
rendu public par le Président Trump, le 27 janvier 2017.” 

 

L’Association des archivistes du Québec est un organisme qui regroupe les
archivistes du Québec et de la communauté francophone du Canada depuis 1967,
et dont la mission se veut, entre autres, de veiller à la représentation
adéquate de la profession au sein de la société et auprès des corps
politiques. 

 

Créée en 1975, l’Association canadienne des archivistes (Association of
Canadian Archivists) assure un leadership dans la profession archivistique
au Canada et facilite la compréhension et la reconnaissance du patrimoine
archivistique canadien.

The Association of Canadian Archivists (ACA) and l’ Association des
archivists du Quebec (AAQ) wish to express support for and solidarity with
their members and the members of the Society of American Archivists (SAA)
who may have been affected either professionally or personally by the
Executive Order temporarily banning travel to the United States from seven
Muslim-majority countries issued by President Trump on January 27, 2017. 

 

Created in 1975, the Association of Canadian Archivists provides leadership
to the Canadian archival profession and facilitates the understanding and
appreciation of Canada’s archival heritage. 

 

Since 1967, the Association des archivistes du Québec has brought together
archivists from Québec and the francophone community across Canada. Its
mission, among other things, is to ensure proper representation of the
profession within society and to political bodies.
