The increasing glut of email in every business has created a large demand
for email archiving, the capture and secure storage of ALL email, incoming
and outgoing.  This is seen as a necessary defensive strategy to preserve
email for litigation and to ward off spoliation claims, and as a regulatory
compliance tool.  But the result is often a gigantic collection of email,
potentially with hundreds of millions or billions of emails under
management.  With this come attendant costs and other issues.  Is it all
