surveys...

The West 50-state surveys are only available by subscribing to Westlaw.
See www.westlaw.com <http://www.westlaw.com/> . (LexisNexis doesn't have
anything similar of which I'm aware.)

For federal stuff CCH (Wolters Kluwer at www.cch.com
<http://www.cch.com/> ) publishes its Guide to Record Retention
Requirements. The Guide is updated biannually, along with the Code of
Federal Regulations. I am currently using the January 2006 edition. I
haven't seen anything more recent.
