It's so frustrating that this is what our IT departments are being told - apparently storage costs are the only expense with keeping everything forever.  They completely fail to mention e-discovery costs and risk, not to mention basic IT issues such as maintenance, backup, and time to restore an archive full of every single email a company has ever sent or received.  And this is what we're up against every day.
