"The best advice I can give Part 6 candidates is - You already know the material since you passed 5 exams about the subject matter, you just need to learn how to narrate a solution to a given problem using the knowledge you know you have."

Many of you will remember that I was more than a little disappointed when I didn't pass Part 6 the first time out of the box. I blamed my "failure" on the room, the weather, the fire drill in the middle of composing my answer for the 40 point question, yada yada yada. And after 4 years of debating I wasn't going to take the test again.

Then someone (and I think it was Virginia) posted almost verbatim the above. I realized that my first attempt wasn't a failure - it was indeed a learning experience. I had to push a fear of failure aside and embrace the opportunity. And I'm too stubborn (Aries, Scottish, red head) to just give up.

I know what I know and so do you. Parts 1 - 5 are tough. They're supposed to be.

Once I relaxed and took the exam it went well. I finished with almost an hour to spare. I was careful, concise, and answered the questions. I didn't move from my chair for 3 solid hours. Crazy.

So do some practice, read and re-read the study guide (that helped me tons).

Rock on!

Sharon
