Just a suggestion. Remove the hyperlink before sending the email. Just
on the off chance someone may click it.

Cheers

Subject: Facebook security risk alert!

Good afternoon,

We just received the following Facebook security risk alert from our IT
Director, and I just wanted to pass it along for those who may not be
aware of it.

All,

You no doubt have seen news on the security risks of Facebook. For the
most part there has been a limited exposure to these risks within
Colonial's system, however, we have seen more traffic and some email
coming to Colonial users that are a security risk. The suspect email
looks exactly like a message from a Facebook server account:

If you click on the link, your computer will be infected, and you may
expose Colonial Networks and Data to damage and/or exfiltration. You
could also be putting your personal information that resides on your
machine at risk of theft. At the very least you may make a new friend
in the Ukraine or some other hotbed site for organized crime.

Colonial IT works diligently in keeping these folks out of our networks.
We block tens of thousands of malicious items on a weekly basis. But
one item that evades our systems and is clicked on by a Colonial user
can create a bad day. So we need your help in keeping our systems and
data safe. This specific issue is impersonating Facebook, but please be
aware that any email from just about any source can have a hidden
payload posing as an attachment or a link.

You can help by:

* Never opening a Facebook email on your corporate machine.

*         When in doubt, delete.

* Never blindly click on a link in any email

Did you know that you can check links by placing your cursor over that
link. Try it above, you'll see the link is different from the actual web
page that you'll be taken to.

If you do click through on a malicious site you may see a stream of
Cyrillic letters flow by and you may also get a pop-up screen that can
pose as a virus or Microsoft warning. If you meet with this unfortunate
situation, hit ctrl+alt+del, access the TASK MANAGER, go to Processes
and END any and all running processes. This may prevent further damage.
WARNING:

* If you click OK on that pop-up you will be infected

* If you click CANCEL on that pop-up you will be infected

* If you click the X in the upper right corner on that pop-up
you will be infected.

Hope this helps.

Thanks, and have a great weekend everyone!
Earl
