Title: Specialist (Electronic Records Management)

Description:  Responsible for coordinating and performing complex electronic records and data management activities and projects involving shared drives, SharePoint, information portals, special document repositories and databases, e-mail, and desktop computing.
*Maintaining and securing records in accordance with the company's established policies and procedures and industry best practices, including developing, implementing and monitoring retention rules;

*Assisting departments and individuals in developing and maintaining electronic file plans on shared drives and in other repositories, including naming and organizing document libraries, folders and sub-folders, classifying and organizing individual documents, developing standard naming conventions, proofing data, and revising when necessary to conform to established standards;

*Monitoring share drive use and auditing user compliance with established policies and procedures utilizing specialized automation tools;

*Managing centralized data repositories and databases, including performing data entry functions, proofing, and auditing data;

*Assisting departments with print-to-electronic conversion initiatives;

*Creating, publishing and maintaining RIM department content on firm intranet;

*Developing RIM training programs, including documentation; training internal clients on policies, procedures and proper use of electronic document management tools;

*Adhering to the firm's general safety practices and to any unique departmental safety practices; and

*Performing other records management and administrative duties as requested.

Experience Required:
*Minimum 4 years relevant experience; corporate or legal records management experience preferred.
*Minimum typing speed of 50 accurate words per minute required.
*Proven ability to manage tasks with competing priorities and deadlines, independently determining order of priority and self initiating other value-added tasks.
*Strong working knowledge of Microsoft office desktop applications including Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Project and Outlook.
*Experience using shared drive systems and/or SharePoint, automated records management, document management and/or records storage management systems is preferred.

*Self-starter with a proven ability to take initiative and work independently with minimal direct supervision;
*Hard-working with strong dedication to the position and company;
*Ability to work productively with individuals at all levels with strong integrity and professionalism.

Education:
A Bachelor's degree is preferred; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
