Aloha Barbara & Friends,
Thank you for your input...I'll have to take a good look at your
suggestions and determine what is "workable" and makes sense for my
operations. It's important to note that my management draws a very fine
line between SLAs (Service Level Agreements) vs. KPIs.
Records Management like other departments in large corporations are
being measured by "metrics", so we're all becoming a part of the
organizational "dashboard" that management views...Not sure if that's
progress or not, but that's the reality.
Mahalo,
Brian

Subject: Re: KPIs For Records Management
Hi Brian,
At one time or another we have used the following:
- number of training sessions or informational presentations made
- number of RM news related items posted on intranet
- number of posters displayed
- number of "clear out" sessions held
- volume of hardcopy material destroyed during clear out session
- volume of megabytes/gigabytes discarded from electronic repositories
- number of boxes/files archived
- number of boxes/files destroyed
- number of document retrievals made from off-site storage (segregated
by regular, rush, audit related, litigation related)
