InformationOverload: MER Fights Record Hoarding
Chicago -- A reflection of the TV show *Hoarders* emerged at Cohasset
Associates’ Managing Electronic Records (MER) conference May 23-25. The
official, if ambiguous, subject of the conference was “Stuff” -- the
plethora of outdated, unimportant, risky, and/or useless electronic files
most organizations keep. Keynotes and sessions trained crosshairs on leaders
who say, “keep everything forever," and workers who keep files, "just in
case." The clear message: don’t be a digital hoarder.
