Good morning,
The Shared Drive Migration Toolkit is now available online through the
InterPARES 3 website at:
http://www.interpares.org/ip3/ip3_case_studies.cfm#cs14
The toolkit includes an end-to-end, production oriented approach to
appraising and migrating desktop files, from network shared drives to an
electronic records management system, in the specific socio-technical
environment of the City of Surrey.
The toolkit is offered as an example of an appraisal and migration
process, and it is hoped that the methods will be of interest to
organizations embarking on similar projects. The toolkit provides a
jumping-off point: it is unlikely that other organizations will want or
need to follow each procedure and sub-procedure as it is presented.
We are very interested in any feedback that people may have-thank you in
advance for your interest and support!
Regards,
Lois Enns
