How is the certification watered down? how is it devalued?
A candidate must still pass all of the first 5 exams and then must past the
written part of Part VI. Part VI IIRC is the hardest hurdle for candidates
to get over.
Once they have passed all 6 exams they must maintain their certification by
accumulating 100 certification maintenance points during a 5 yr cycle.
none of that has changed AFAIK
What the change has done IMNSHO is open the door to more potential
candidates and allow us to grow more.
I"ve held the designation since 1988, I wrote the exams when the first 5
parts were a combination of short essays and multiple choice, i've sat on
application review teams, i went through the first certification maintenance
cycle when no one knew what would count.. my point is I've seen a lot of
change in 23 yrs as a CRM
