AZ - Pinal County set to adopt rules on records
A month after a records-tampering case closed without charges for a top
aide to Sheriff Paul Babeu and weeks after Pinal County was billed for
nearly $150,000 in outside legal fees for help with public-records cases,
county supervisors will vote today to beef up requirements for all
employees when it comes to maintaining e-mails, documents and other files
that relate to official government business.
The new policy is the latest step in the county's efforts to comply with
the state Public Records Law.
