The Lion in Winter. It isn't about Christmas, but it is about the Plantagenet family coming together at Christmas 1183 to work out a few family problems, such as (1) who will be the next king; (2) will the Queen be released from confinement; (3) will Prince John marry Alais or will King Henry keep her for his mistress--or both; and (4) will the king of France go to war with the Key of England (who controls most of France than King Philip. You know--good wholesome family bonding.

I must admit, the presence of the Christmas tree was anachronistic, but other than that, it was an excellent story with great dialogue, such as:

Eleanor: "What family doesn't' have its ups and downs?"

Henry: "Give me a little peace."

Eleanor: "A little, Why so modest? How about eternal peace? Now there's a thought."

Merry Christmas, y'all,
