What Larry said in every particular. This is no different from the old
ablative optical media technology except that it's more robust; whether it
lasts even 100 years makes very little difference given the likely
difficulties associated with reading Word 2013 files that far out. Format
obsolescence (file format, data structure format) is by far the most
pressing issue for digital preservation, much more so than media
degradation.
