Hi All

I am long time reader, first time poster on this mailing list. I have to say I’ve been finding the discussions here very insightful.

Just to add my 2-cents about Slack … we’ve been using it for 1 month now in our startup. I exclusively communicate with my developers over Slack — it is just so much easier than Email - especially when the communication is just one or two lines long. But the challenge is getting the non-developers to adopt it. Everybody is very used to email and switching is a challenge. Also, at the moment it isn’t clear to me how secure Slack is. In short, for essential business communications I would still stick to good old Email. But for general conversations with developers etc, Slack is great.

cheers

While I don't necessarily like email, I am not sure if this is better. Although there are a few big names that are using this technology, do you think it has potential to do more harm than good? Is anyone using this now?
