Well put David. Maybe someone on this list will take some form of action to eliminate the crap. I wish you the best in your retirement.

Subject: This listserv

There are many things that I like about this list. I have been subscribing to it, off and on, since the late 90s. There are also things about the list that annoy me to no end, particularly the postings that are 100% political, but appear to be proper because they are all about records. Consequently I have dropped it at least three times in the past, going away for a year or two and then coming back with the hope that the political content of the list will die down. Well, today, I am signing off again. The main difference this time is that I am close enough to retirement that I am no longer looking to advance my knowledge of Records Management, so there won't be any reason for me to return.

The reason that I am leaving now, as opposed to leaving on my retirement day, is that this listserv has (again) reverted to being a tool to knock Democrats. In my early days on the list there were several political discussions and I took part in one or two and was (rightly) chastened for trying to push my politics.

Now when I look at my email, the vast majority of the mail I am receiving from the listserv is all about Hillary's email scandal. We get it, Peter. We know that you hate Hillary, we would have known that if you hadn't forwarded any of these stories. I don't think you are changing anyone's mind about anything other than the usefulness of the listserv. Well, to me the annoyance factor has now passed the usefulness factor.

Bye-bye.
