County records that were dug up from a landfill as part of the
investigation of former Athens County sheriff Patrick Kelly will be going
back into the landfill if the state signs off on it.

The Athens County Records Commission voted Tuesday to submit paperwork to
the State Archives of Ohio (part of the Ohio Historical Society) asking for
one-time permission to dispose of obsolete records.
