Colleagues:

I was trying to bite my tongue but I can't any longer.  The list provided earlier by Robert of the 28 IG best practices sounds like best practices we have all been trying to implement for a very long time.  From obtaining executive sponsorship all of the way down to the end, haven't we all as RIM professionals seen this before.  Now instead of Records Managers being the leader of this initiative, we are now just one face of many that falls under the new IG umbrella.  It seems to me that IG is in some form or fashion devaluing records management by not having us sit at the head of the table.  It's strange to me especially when reading #4, IG is a key underpinning for a successful records management (RM) program.  So until IG showed up a few years ago all of our RM programs were not successful?

I am very confused about IG as I think many others are.
