Subject: Re: [RM] 8 Most Important Things a Records Manager Must Know to Be Smart About Information Governance
I second the check on records managers as "glorified librarians". I could just as easily see an insult in calling a librarian a glorified records manager - i.e. complete ignoring their role in research, curation, outreach, and numerous other fields.
I'm a records manager by training and trade, but my degree is in Library and Information Science. I appreciate the interlocking specialties held by librarians and records managers both. Trying to rank these professions is a waste of effort.
Just don't get me started on the archivists... :-)
