Our constitution says - "35. (1) Every citizen has the right of access to
--... (a) information held by the State; and ... (3) The State shall
publish and publicise any important information affecting the nation." This
has been written about in Katiba Corner before, but it is really brought
into focus when we see how governments may dislike it.

So now which government dislikes it? The Independent newspaper in the UK
says the freedom of information in that country is under "major attack"
from the government.
