I suspect PK was referring to either the number of positions they were
recruiting for or left off a "0" from the salary. Even at $100K+
living in the Bay Area would be difficult. I've seen a number of
positions re-posted repeatedly in San Fran and surrounding area - I
suspect the reason is salary. Some reports I have come across
indicate that a decent one bedroom apartment in SF can easily cost $3K
a month. Add the cost of other living expenses and of course taxes -
not a cheap place to live.
