(it's a free publication) Prior to engaging with a vendor, I would recommend getting your high level business requirements, HLBR's, documented as this will be a key piece of information helpful to a vendor to verify if they can fulfill your needs. Submit a Request for Information, RFI, to each vendor you are interested in learning more from and provide your HLBR's as part of the request.
