Records Management Specialist

DuPont Pioneer is seeking a Records Management Specialist to lead 
operations in retention duties and projects associated with company-wide 
records. 

The Records Management Specialist will be responsible for retained 
company records and records management services provided to company 
employees. The selected candidate will lead projects and complete tasks as 
needed to support records management compliance initiatives and process 
improvements. The Records Management Specialist will also provide 
support to employees throughout the company to solve their records 
management issues, including proper record classification/retention and 
advice on record organization and storage.  
Job responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

Document Retention - Manage global agreement collection, ensuring the 
Records Management database is accurate, complete and shows the 
correct retention classification is applied. Image agreements and attach to 
database records. Maintain original paper files. Complete disposition 
process to destroy or microfilm agreements that have met retention 
requirements.  Respond to retrieval requests.
 
Record Storage - Coordinate inactive record storage and retrievals, which 
includes advice to business clients on off-site transfer and storage 
processes, record organization, and retention policies. Ensure that 
adequate supplies of boxes and barcodes are maintained.
 
Compliance – Comply with Records Management strategies, policies and 
compliance efforts.  Dispose of records based on set guidelines and 
approvals.
Qualifications
 
The following are required:
•	Associates or trade school degree
•	3-5 years of business/administrative experience
•	Document sharing systems experience
•	Customer service experience as well as work with key stakeholders in 
different departments
•	Document cleanup campaign, record review, and document 
destruction experience
•	Attention to detail and quality
•	Ability to lift or pull boxes of paper documents in an office storage 
setting
•	Ability to keep information confidential
•	Strong experience with computer and general software applications
•	Ability to anticipate needs
•	Problem solving capabilities and ability to make decisions on daily 
activities
•	Ability to work as a team, collaborate and build sustainable 
relationships
•	Written and oral communication skills
•	Understanding of records management fundamentals and best 
practices

The following are highly preferred:
•	Records Management experience desirable
•	Certified Records Manager
•	 Associates or Bachelor's Degree
