From our HR Department ---
"No specific guidelines. My own practice has always been 6 months to a year. (Tend to keep for a year.) Beyond that the information tends to get outdated. Either the contact info changes, or they find a position elsewhere and an updated resume would be required anyway. I keep resumes sorted by position applied for, with most recent on top. Makes it easy to shred the old ones when the file gets full."

Possibly check with your HR department. It may just be a matter of personal preference.

-----Original Message-----

Hi there,

I am trying to find Canadian retention guidelines for how long to keep job
applications/resumes from individuals that were not considered for an
interview, and for those who were interviewed but not hired.

Thanks for your help.
