We've recently hired several Research Assistants for the summer and are
now in need of policies that define what level of access we will provide
these temporary employees to our shared drives.

We hold confidential records, some of which the RAs may need to access
do their jobs.

We're trying to balance access rights against the need to protect
confidential records.

The best idea we've come up with so far is a "network access form,"
which would reaffirm the RAs understanding of the need to protect
confidential records and would require their supervisor to specifically
indicate which directories the RA would have access to, the level of
access, when it expires, and what they are going to do with any records
the RA generates.

I'm particularly interested forms policies that specify directories and
levels of access that are tailored towards graduate students.

Thank you.
