I'm impressed. You are very philisophical, AND you are RIGHT ON!
I believe wholeheartedly that it is an inside job. We must be in touch
with ourselves, our vulnerabilities, our "darker sides" , our light and
our own human condition which tends to breed such things as hatred,
selfishness and destruction, before we can appreciate others who are
experiencing similar human conditions. What was the old adage that Mom
used..."if you can't say anything nice, don't say anything at all" ----
there is a whole lot of wisdom there!!!
Good luck to you and your neighbors, as you clean up after mother
nature. Our hearts are with you.

Thanks John...and you know I forget that we have people from other
countries on the list. When I was writing that post I was thinking
really about all of humanity...all nations. I do truly believe that it
is our nature and potential...all of us...as human beings to unite in
goodness and kindness toward one another. While there are a myriad of
cultures around the world...we see the same basic human traits among all
people. I would therefore say that it is as well a UNITED world which
will lead all of mankind forward. Some say that's a "pipe dream" but I
don't think so. Sure there will always be differences, etc. But that
doesn't mean that all nations, all cultures can't live peacefully
together. We just have to cultivate a bit more awareness among
humanity...to understand that there must be fairness, compromise and
tolerance...rather than hatred, selfishness and destruction. War never
is a satisfactory solution to anything...or any problem. If the
goodness in most all of us can come forth...then we can go forward
united and control those few who will not or cannot find the goodness in
themselves...but rather choose to bring harm, destruction and evil to
the rest of us. That is really the heart of my sentiment....
