The philosophical Dave Weinberger has a couple of interesting articles in
the latest issue of JOHO (Journal of the Hyperlinked Organization):

http://www.hyperorg.com/backissues/joho-oct15-04.html

In 'the future of facts' he ponders the difference between fact and
reality (without descending into deconstructionist incomprehensibility)
and how 'facts' are presented on the internet. In 'The end of data' he
talks about the convergence of metadata and data, and how the distinction
can depend on the baseline knowledge of the person enquiring.

JOHO is worth reading, especially when you've had your head wrapped up in
disposal classes for a week or so. Gets you thinking.

These views are mine alone. They may or may not be those of any
previous or present employers or clients. I don't know. If I'd asked
and they'd agreed, I would have signed it "Bloggs and Co and
Glenn". Or whatever. But I haven't, so I didn't.
