I agree, but more particularly where should RM be taught? In the Library
Science program, what about IT programs or better yet MBA programs.

>Only a handful of courses in records management are offered at the
graduate level and most of these appear to be an afterthought. And as
far as I can tell, no RM program exists, not within the U.S. anyway.

do we really need a separate RM graduate program? (heretic!) or do we
need to promote the teaching of the concepts in a variety of programs
(see comment above). I would like to see some sort of interdisciplinary
program developed that provides the student of RM with knowledge from
the business admin, library science and IT worlds.

issues of the RM discipline in one class.

The vast material tested in the CRM process supports your belief. there
is no way that all of RM can be taught in one semester.

Most definitely

and data that can help all of us in the profession.

I think the research opps are definitely being handled well by the
Educational Foundation. What needs to be done is for us to grow the
Educational foundation's financial support. once that has been
stabilized and enlarged, they can then approach MBA programs to initiate
RM studies or research programs.

lots of opportunities.
