Doesn't sound reasonable to me.  Moving the contents is going to be a
requirement no matter what you do.  Chances are you will have to dispose
of the old system, so disassembly of the old system is required.  If you
buy a new system, assembly is required so you don't save any money
there.

My recommendation would be to consider purchasing new tracking and
floor.  Once in, move the units one or two at a time.  That way you can
move materials from a section being disassembled to one that was
recently installed.  If the contractor tells you that the cost to move
is greater than the cost of purchasing a new one, find another
contractor.
