The answer is that every newspaper that wishes me to login and set up a
free account, I go ahead and do so...using a very common login name and
password.   That way, whenever I go to a Rain posting that asks me to login,
I use that...and 99% of the time, I've already set up an account.   Don't
have
to remember many passwords/logons that way.     Yes, they want to send
you advertising but usually advertisers for say LA are not going to send
stuff
out to Florida...so usually I don't receive very much, even with all the
logins
I've created at various newspapers.
