PDF/A is a joint standards effort between AIIM and NPES. The ultimate goal
is to have it espoused as a standard (ANSI and/or ISO) and make it freely
available. The standards work is still ongoing; you can go to the AIIM
website at http://www.aiim.org/standards and look for PDF/Archive for
additional information.
