Tod,

Thanks for a great exchange.... The Chair of the ARMA Government Relations
Committee (GRECO) is Rae Cougar. Her contact information can be found at:
http://www.arma.org/contact/directories/committee.cfm . I've taken the step
of sending her our email exchange, and hope that proves to be helpful.

Exactly the point.

Life inside the Beltway (and I do live inside the Beltway - though not by
much) brings with it the opportunity, and sometimes the responsibility, to
join in such activities and make our voices meaningful without the travel
burden others may face.

While serving on a committee is great. I see the committee as being the
policy setters. I think Tod is asking how can ARMA members in/near the
Beltway be best used by the association.
there are four chapters in and around DC -- Gaithersburg, Greater
Washington, Baltimore and Northern Virginia. Several hundred members
available to serve the association if needed for work on the Hill

Tod,

The best way for any US-based ARMA member to become involved in government
affairs would be to volunteer to serve on ARMA International's US Government
Relations Committee. I'm not sure exactly when the Committee applications
will be issued, but look for them......
