Ted:
I actually received my BA in Records and Information Mgt from Detroit college of Business (a private college and sister of Davenport University). For whatever reason, they no longer offer this - but I'm sure you could get some historical information from them. I have been in this field for 13 years and feel my degree has helped me in every position.
Hope this helps!

Subject: BA/BS in records/archives
Hello,
I am the librarian for a College of Applied Science at University of
Cincinnati. I am serving on a committee that is exploring the creation of a
bachelor's degree related to records management or archives/archival
technology. We may also be interested in developing a certificate program,
as a start. This program would be in an applied science context, so there
would likely be an enphasis on hands-on experience and application.
Does anyone know of a current undergraduate program in the US that has this
type of subject focus? Could anyone weigh in on the potential usefulness of
this degree in the marketplace? I have tried some searches for studies on
undergrad education in this area, but have found very little.
The fields of records management and archives are a bit new to me, so I
truly appreciate your assistance!
