Hello there,
I’m new to the list and am hoping to learn as much as possible from
everybody’s postings.
I’m a Director of Plant Services for a hospital. The departments under me
are Maintenance, Housekeeping, and IT. To add insult to injury, I am also
the manager of Safety, Life Safety, Security, Utilities Management, HAZMAT,
Medical Waste Management, Linen Management, AND I have no secretary.
Needless to say, I am overwhelmed, with my job. However, I really enjoy my
job, and I intend to succeed.
My major problem is that I am in dire need of organization. I have so many
regulatory agencies to comply with, (Medicare, NFPA, EPA, OSHA), and I have
been searching everywhere for a useful fileplan. I really don’t want to
re-invent the wheel here, so I thought joining this list would give me the
opportunity to learn from those who know the value of this business. I am
also ready and willing to volunteer what I have learned and used.
