A poster on the Archives List has just let us know that Peter is back safe and sound, it sounds as if he got in on a flight from Heathrow late Friday evening. See

I heard on Thursday afternoon from my young family member who is in college in London. She was on the tube that morning, riding to her summer job, but not at one of the affected stations. She walked home that evening, arriving at her flat very tired, but noting in her e-mail to me that Londoners are fantastic.

My special thanks to the member of this List in London who had offered to help me by making inquiries on my behalf on Thursday. I thanked him but didn't take him up on the offer, as I was hoping to hear news by other means. Still, it was a very, very kind gesture by someone who does not know me personally -- and a nice reminder of the upside of belonging to the List such as this.

A good weekend to you all,
Maarja
