Happy Friday Everyone!
I have been "lurking" long enough and have finally gathered the courage
to introduce myself.  My name is Kiersten and I have been in the RIM
industry for over 6 years.  During that time I have worn many hats (like
most of you, I'm sure).  I have worked in nuclear records (SONGS),
pharma/biotech records(Amylin), and now have found myself in a corporate
subsidiary (DTE Energy Services) of a utility holding company (DTE).  I
have the great (?) opportunity of implementing electronic records
management solutions that were designed in-house and also with OpenText
LiveLink.  I dare to mention that I am now assisting in the
implementation of a Documentum solution and that so far has
been....uh...interesting.  
I have spent the last 2 weeks searching the listserv archives and have
been pleasantly surprised to find great ideas and the same sarcastic
humor that I have been accused of exhibiting.  I considered the idea
that maybe it has to do with the type of people whose choose a career in
records management.  Perhaps we must find humor in things just to keep
forging ahead in what sometimes seems the impossible task of RM.
 
I am very happy to announce that I just received my approval letter from
the ICRM that I am now a "CRM Candidate" and will be sitting for exams
parts 1-5 in November.   I look forward to any advice, ideas, and
thoughts of those on this listserv.
