Leave it to the insurance companies to try to avoid paying claims; they
do it all the time.

August was the WETTEST month in Kansas' recorded history. Lot's of
flooding.
I took some pictures of some pretty high flood waters around here.
Earlier
this year, some of the areas experienced more than a foot of rain in
less
than a 24 hr. period. So, several days later, 25-50 miles away from
where
the heaviest rain hit, the water table rose a lot and there was lots
of
flooding due to ground water, especially lots of basements. I heard
that
there are all kinds of insurance loopholes about how to not cover
water
damage even if people have flood insurance, sump pump insurance, etc.
