Charles,

We have not submitted such a request from FERC for our electric or gas
companies. I would like to know if anyone else has, too!

Subject: Asking FERC for a shorter retention period

Happy Friday everyone!

Energy Utility RIM Question:

FERC 18 CFR 125 allows utility companies to request shorter retention
times than those listed in the Code.

18 CFR 125.2(a)(5) states: "Notwithstanding the provisions of the
Records Retention Schedule, the Commission may, upon the request of the
Company, authorize a shorter period of retention for any record listed
therein upon a showing by the Company that preservation of such record
for a longer period is not necessary or appropriate in the public
interest or for the protection of investors or consumers."

Has anyone ever tried this?

Thanks,

Chuck Piotrowski
