I started my career in records management at LANL working for the Safety
Basis group. They are the folks that make sure the labs and operations are
developed and run according to DOE safety rules. During my time there it
occurred to me that in the eyes of many managers, safety professionals and
records management professionals fall into roughly the same group; nobody
wants to support or fund us until something bad happens and they realize
they need us!!
